LAUNCH FOODS
In 2018, in response to Glasgow’s shocking child poverty rates, Launch Foods foundation, a Scottish Charity was set up with the sole purpose of tackling child food poverty in Glasgow.
Launch foods provides primary school kids with a nutritious meal at the end of the school day, helping to ensure that no child goes to bed hungry. Children can choose from two hot, nutritious meals, alongside fresh fruit, a bottle of water and a sweet treat. Making sure every child goes home with a full tummy and a smile.
LAUNCH COFFEE
Located on Cresswell Street is our relaxed West End café for great coffee and home baking, with a welcoming space and reliable WiFi. Every visit helps Launch Foods feed Glasgow primary school kids who need our help most.
OUR MISSION
We focus on maximising food surplus by feeding kids in our communities with free, hot, nutritious food after their school day and during holidays.
We don’t believe any child in Scotland should be going hungry. While we can’t solve Scotland’s child poverty problem alone, we want to bring greater attention to this complex issue and give hope and inspiration to young people in need that a brighter future is possible.
The detrimental effects of child poverty are a major cause for concern. Poverty not only impacts physical and mental health but the educational and social development of the kids.
WHAT WE DO
Our range of valued food and drink partners provide us with high quality produce allowing hot nutritious meals to be served from our food truck at the end of each school day.
To date we have provided over 1 Million free meals to children in the city who need our help the most. Launch Coffee established in 2022 not only has allowed us to create jobs but whose profits help fund our efforts feeding children in the city of Glasgow.
